The Bulls have a handful of games under their belt now, and the post-Gordon era is underway. I like Ben Gordan’s style. He was like ice in those last few minutes of a game. He had the tenacity and killer instinct that winners have. Streaky like most shooters, but won more games than he lost without a doubt. Put it this way, I have the number 7 jersey hanging in my closet.
That being said, if he doesn’t want to be here, we are better off without him. I am not going to pretend to know the politics and respect factors that may have been an issue, but when you hi-tail it to a neighboring rival for a few bucks, good riddance.
The Bulls have stepped up and are filling in where needed. We have already had a few games go to the wire and the Bulls have ended up on top. Good for them, and good for Vinnie. It’s early and basketball is a streaky game, but taking one from Lebron is always a good thing. The team will have their ups and downs, but it is for them to lose. They gave Boston all they could handle in the playoffs last year, and that wasn’t a fluke. They have heart and have a blue-collar mentality of fighting for every play. They are a playoff team without Gordon. Rose is ready to step up and this isn’t a “young” team like so many state. They are playoff tested and ready to go, no excuses.
The Jordan and Gordan eras are over, move on.
I am heading over to YOUTUBE to watch the Bulls intro video and song now. If that doesn’t get you ready to run through a wall then go home… “And now the starting line up…”
